Safety
Working safely is a priority at Palmer Electric. The Company employs a full-time Safety Manager who is responsible for overseeing training, safety and compliance. Safety training for field and support staff is mandatory. Training takes place in a classroom setting on a regular periodic basis and in the field through weekly jobsite toolbox meetings. Pro-active safety behavior is reinforced through employee incentives.
Training
The Company pays for electrical apprenticeship training through its membership in the Florida Electrical Apprenticeship Training and Brevard Electrical Apprenticeship Training programs. Palmer Electric is an active member in the Academy of Construction Technologies, an organization that promotes craft training of junior and senior high school students for a career in the construction trades. The Company encourages and supports employees attending advanced training in their field.
